Lahore: A 15-day report has been released showing the tightened cordon against the elements that cause smog in the environment of Lahore.
According to the report, more than 300 cases have been registered against those responsible for burning garbage and causing smog in 15 days.
The report stated that under the direction of Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Babar Sahib Din, the enforcement wing is performing efficiently across the city.
The CEO said that 630 challans worth more than Rs1.2 million have been issued for the crime of setting fire to garbage and 21 people have been arrested for the crime of burning garbage on a large scale by raiding a factory in Misri Shah, area of Lahore.
