Woman allegedly tortured, set on fire by in-laws
Tando Allahyar: A woman was allegedly severely tortured and set ablaze by her in-laws in Tando Allahyar, police reported on Tuesday.
According to details, the woman identified has Iram Khanzada passed away while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Karachi.
Ali Raza, the victim’s brother during police investigation revealed that he got a call from locals that his sister was set on fire inside her house.
When he reached the spot, 90% of victim’s body was burnt. She was immediately moved to hospital but succumbed to injuries.
Ali Raza told the police that Iram was married to a man named Babar Khanzada and her sister was tortured by in-laws. He claimed that they even broke her arm few weeks ago.
Police have registered a case against her in-laws and further investigations are underway.
