The written order stated that the Punjab government is taking measures regarding working from home on two days of the week.


Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) Monday ordered to keep all educational institutions closed on Saturdays till the end of January due to smog in Punjab.
According to the details, the court directed to issue notification to close schools, colleges and universities.
Justice Shahid Karim issued a written order on the petitions filed for remediation of smog.
The written order stated that the Punjab government is taking measures regarding working from home on two days of the week. The word of gym closure has been suspended in the notification.
In the written order of the court, it is said that the meteorological department should take departmental action against the officers who do not take action against smog.
According to Air Quality Index (AQI), Lahore is on the third place in the list of the most polluted cities this morning while the pollution in the air has been recorded at 245 particulate meters.
