Islamabad: As part of measures taken by the caretaker government to curb tax evasion, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and the National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) have agreed to work together to broaden the tax base.
According to media reports, FBR and NADRA will review the actual income of taxpayers while registration of new taxpayers and tax profile of non-filers will also be finalized.
It is also reported that the data will also be exchanged between FBR and NADRA. A high-level committee of both institutions has been set up which will be headed by NADRA chairman.
