Sialkot: Mian Nawaz Sharif, the Supreme Leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), expressed deep concerns about the prevailing state of injustice in Pakistan during a recent address at a workers' convention in Sialkot on Saturday. Sharif underscored the urgent need for concrete action in the nation's interest, urging a collective effort to learn from past experiences and prevent further losses.

The PML-N supremo shed light on the destabilization caused by various conspiracies, highlighting a persistent series of challenges that included his personal ordeals of incarceration, exile, and legal battles. Despite these testing times, Sharif emphasized the resilience that prevailed.

“That person [Imran Khan] did not come; rather, he was imposed on the country,” said Nawaz Sharif, adding that the leader knew nothing beyond hurling abuses at others.

The PML-N supremo emphasized the collective responsibility to rectify the significant losses suffered by the country and cautioned against entrusting the nation to individuals who undermine its cultural values.

Reflecting on the termination of his government in 1993, Sharif raised questions about the decision, particularly when Pakistan's economic progress outpaced neighboring countries, and the national currency held a stronger position. He lamented the removal of the government despite the country's prosperity during that period.

While acknowledging the recent conclusion of legal battles and incarcerations as a triumph over maladministration, the former Prime Minister urged the nation to consider the implications of daily imprisonment of a prime minister, questioning how the country could effectively function under such circumstances.

The PML-N supremo highlighted the achievements of his government, including economic stability with the dollar at Rs. 104, successful eradication of issues like load shedding and terrorism, and a gradual reduction in unemployment.

Expressing concern over the impact of conspiracies on the country's prosperity, he stressed the need to rectify the damage.

Nawaz Sharif underscored the potential for Pakistan to become a prosperous nation and expressed regret over his ousting in the 2018 elections. He criticized the introduction of a leader, referring to Imran Khan, as someone incapable of constructive contributions, emphasizing the necessity for careful consideration in the nation's recovery from repeated mistakes.
