Hearing on Khadija Shah's detention plea adjourned till Nov 30
The court directed the public prosecutor to sort the matter at the earliest.
Lahore: The hearing on the plea filed against the detention of renowned fashion designer Khadija Shah has been adjourned till November 30.
According to the details, Justice Ali Baqir Najfi heard the petition against the detention of Khadija Shah in the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday.
During the hearing, the government lawyer appeared in the court and told that the Additional Home Secretary has decided on the appeal and also sent his report to the caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi.
Justice Ali Baqir Najfi inquired as to why the report was sent to the Punjab Chief Minister, to which the public prosecutor said that it is necessary to inform the government after the notification of detention. The report will be reviewed in the cabinet meeting.
The court directed the public prosecutor to sort the matter at the earliest and the court adjourned the hearing on the petition till November 30.
