Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Tareen has said a separate group was formed after the Punjab government initiated revenge actions his supporters.

While talking to media outside banking court where he had appeared for a hearing, Tareen denied making any forward bloc in the party saying a separate group was formed three months ago after Punjab government subjected his members to revengeful politics.
"We were part of the PTI, we are part of the PTI and we will continue to remain part of the PTI. We are not making a forward bloc,” he said.
The PTI leader also accused Punjab government of putting pressure on his supporters and transferring officers of the ministers that were loyal to him.
“The group has decided to raise its voice against this behavior in the Punjab Assembly. The members of group have decided to nominate MPA Saeed Akbar Niwani to lead the discussions against the alleged revenge tactics of the Punjab government, in the assembly,” he said.
Referring to his case, Tareen said that there is no investigation going on against him related to the sugar scandal.
“The FIRs registered against me were not filed in connection with sugar inquiry. But Imran Khan has assured justice and he is an honourable and just man," he said.
Earlier today, the Sessions and Banking Court has extended the interim bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Tareen and his son Ali Tareen till May 31.
