Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Wednesday acquitted Nawaz Sharif in the Avenfield reference after annulling the decision of sentence against him.
According to the details, Nawaz Sharif appeared in IHC for the hearing of Avenfield reference and flagship reference.
National Accountability bureau (NAB) also withdrew its appeal filed against Nawaz Sharif’s acquittal in flagship reference.
The IHC heard Nawaz Sharif's appeals against conviction in the Avenfield and Al-Azizia references, in which the former prime minister's lawyer argued that NAB had to prove that Nawaz Sharif paid for the purchase of properties.
