Rawalpindi: A robbery accused, was shot at and injured in an alleged encounter between the police and the robbers.

According to details, the alleged police encounter occurred within the limits of Bani police station as a result of which one accused was left injured while another managed to flee.
The injured accused Ikramullah was shifted to nearby hospital in critical condition, Rawalpindi police said.
Accused has a criminal record and is involved in multiple robbery incidents in the twin cities.
Few days earlier, the accused had shot dead a citizen named Umair Rauf during a robbery, police revealed.
