Toshakhana: Hearing against Nawaz, Zardari, Gilani adjourned till Dec 20
The prosecutor said in the court that they need some time for further proceeding.
Islamabad: The Accountability Court islamabad Thursday postponed the hearing of Toshakhana reference against former Prime Ministers Nawaz Sharif, Yusuf Raza Gilani and former President Asif Ali Zardari and others till December 20.
According to the details, Accountability Court judge Muhammad Basheer heard against Asif Zardari, Nawaz Sharif, Yusuf Raza Gilani and others in the Tosha Khana reference.
Nawaz Sharif's lawyers Qazi Misbah, Arshad Tabriz, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutors Irfan Bhola and Sohail Arif appeared in the court.
Nawaz Sharif's pleader Rana Irfan also appeared in the court and joined the investigation.
The prosecutor said in the court that they need some time for further proceeding.
Lawyer Qazi Misbah stated in the court that Nawaz Sharif has been involved in the investigation, questionnaire was provided, NAB reference was made in 2019, at that time Nawaz Sharif was very ill.
He added: “There was no demand for the car from Nawaz Sharif, there is no document that Nawaz Sharif asked for any car”. On which the court inquired from NAB what to do now, responding to which the prosecutor said that they will look into the statement and then further proceed with the case.
The court adjourned the hearing on the case till December 20.
