The hearing of the contempt of court cases was adjourned till December 06.


Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s lawyer Shoaib Shaheen Thursday said that his client has not been brought to the hearing deliberately.
According to the details, a four member bench headed by Nisar Durrani heard the case of contempt of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and Election Commissioner against Chairman PTI, Asad Umar and Fawad Chaudhry.
Fawad Chaudhry's lawyer Faisal Chaudhry and Imran Khan, Asad Umar's lawyer Shoaib Shaheen appeared before the commission.
Lawyer Shoaib Shaheen said: “We have not received a copy of the order related to Chairman PTI of the Election Commission”.
The member commission replied that the law ministry reported that the situation is not such that former Prime Minister be presented and the commission can go to jail for hearing.
Lawyer Shoaib Shaheen said that they want to give arguments. If any report is not confidential, then they should make it public now, otherwise the lawyer should be provided with the report. If there is a jail trial, then the whole trial should be conducted there, we applied for the copy but didn't get it.
The member commission replied: ‘If it is not confidential then we give you a copy of the report, you want to work on the case and still do not move the case forward, and it has been over a year. If you want to frame the charge they can do it anywhere, the problem is with the charge frame.
Lawyer Shoaib said that Imran Khan is the chief of one of the biggest parties. To which members of the commission replied that they have to run the process and not looking at who it is.
Imran’s lawyer told the commission to drop the case. The member commission said that there is a proper way to drop the case, it has been more than a year and they are also involved in other work.
Lawyer Shaheen stated that lawyers are not allowed to meet, on which the member commission replied that they had issued a production order. He said but your order was not implemented.
The member commission continued to say: “We would have done a lot if we had our own force, why should we take this risk”.
Imran Khan’s lawyer added that he has not been produced deliberately.
The member commission said that earlier you deliberately did not want to appear, to which the lawyer responded that if you cannot give him security now, how you will do it in the election.
On the other hand, Fawad Chaudhry's lawyer Faisal Chaudhry said that they do not have security issues, the commission should issue the production orders for them and separate their case.
The member commission while talking to lawyer Faisal Chaudhry said that we order.
Turning to Asad Umar, the member commission said that sometimes you do not come, sometimes the lawyer does not come.
Asad Umar said that lawyer Anwar Mansoor is ill. He added that he has also left politics and submitting a statement.
The members of the commission replied that should continue the politics.
Asad Umar submitted the statement to the Election Commission. The member commission said that they orders on Umar's issue.
