The letter said that the Mercedes-Benz worth Rs61 million purchased in 2020 will also be auctioned.


Islamabad: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa Friday decided to auction the luxurious vehicles given by the government.
Taking an important decision, the Chief Justice sent a letter to the Cabinet Secretary and Chief Secretary Punjab for auctioning the vehicles.
The letter said that the Mercedes-Benz worth Rs61 million purchased in 2020 and the bullet-proof Land Cruiser provided by the Punjab government will also be auctioned.
According to the letter, it is not appropriate to import luxury vehicles for constitutional posts. Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa did not use both the vehicles, the proceeds from the auction of the vehicles should be spent on public transport.
