WhatsApp introduces 'Secret Code' for chat lock
This secret code will be available globally in the coming months.

California: The famous messaging mobile application WhatsApp introduced its new feature 'Secret Code' to further secure the sensitive conversations of its millions of users.
WhatsApp has introduced this feature to further improve the privacy protocols of chats.
Using this new feature, users can set a unique password different from their phone unlock password to keep their locked chats even more private.
The feature will provide another option to hide the locked chats folder from their chat list which will be available only when a secret code is typed in the search bar.

Earlier this year, WhatsApp has introduced Chat Lock for the same purpose.
This secret code will be available globally in the coming months.
Earlier this year, Pakistan launched a pilot of its first communication application 'Beep Pakistan' as an alternative to WhatsApp.
In the first phase, this feature will be used for internal communication between the Ministry of IT and Communication and the National Information Technology Board.
