Rawalpindi: Special Secret Act Court judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain is hearing the cypher case in Rawalpindi Adiala Jail today (Saturday).
According to the details, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and Vice-Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi are present in the court room.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) team reached Adiala Jail along with records, while Chairman PTI lawyers, Prosecutor Shah Khawar, Zulfiqar Abbas Naqvi Advocate and Special Prosecutor Rizwan Abbasi are also present in the court room.
Apart from this, Imran Khan's sister Aleema Khan, wife Bushra Bibi and Shah Mehmood Qureshi's family are also present in the court room.
Strict security arrangements have been made outside the Adiala Jail, while a large number of local and foreign media representatives are also present outside the Adiala Jail to cover the case, however the media representatives have not been allowed to enter the Adiala Jail yet.
On the previous hearing, the judge of the special court ordered the hearing of the cypher case in an open court where media coverage will be allowed. However, the special court established under the Secret Act decided to conduct the hearing of the cypher case in Adiala Jail in view of security concerns. The caretaker federal cabinet also issued a formal notification in this regard.
Earlier on yesterday, after receiving the notification for jail trial of the cypher case against the former prime minister Imran Khan and former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the official secret act special court postponed the hearing of the cypher case.
