The new fee will be applicable from January 1, 2024 before which the licenses will be issued at the current fee rate.


Lahore: The caretaker Punjab government Tuesday increased the driving license fee by more than 16 times, which will be applicable from January 01.
According to the details, a meeting of the Provincial Cabinet was held at the Civil Secretariat under the chairmanship of caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi, in which the increase in the driving license fee was approved.
According to the decision, the new fee will be applicable from January 1, 2024 before which the licenses will be issued at the current fee rate, and thereafter the learner fee will be increased from Rs60 to Rs1,000.
The rate of LTV, HTV, PSV license fee will also increase, while citizens of USA, Canada and other countries will be able to make a license by paying 100 dollars online.
In the meeting, it was decided that the students will be able to transfer only from high grade merit to low grade merit medical and dental colleges, in the meeting. The meeting also approved the release of funds to double the number of nursing students in Punjab and the establishment of a management committee for the Institute of Public Health Lahore.
In view of the historical importance of Bagh-e-Jinnah, the Cabinet decided to hand over the administrative affairs and the management of the historical Umar Mahal at Chiniot to the Walled City Authority, while revision of shooting license and fee under Punjab Wildlife Rules 1974 and establishment of Pothohar Campus of University of Punjab at Gojar Khan was approved
