IHC rejects Imran’s appeal against ECP decision to withdraw disqualification
Chief Justice of IHC Aamer Farooq issued a reserved verdict on the appeal to withdraw the plea.

Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Wednesday rejected the appeal of former Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI0 Imran Khan against the decision of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to withdraw his disqualification.
According to the details, Chief Justice of IHC Aamer Farooq issued a reserved verdict on the appeal to withdraw the plea.
It is pertinent to note that earlier on September 13, the court had reserved the decision after hearing the arguments of the parties. The former PTI chairman had challenged the decision of the Election Commission on October 21.
Notably, the ECP had given a decision to disqualify the former PTI chairman on October 21, 2022, after which he approached the High Court on October 28 last year against the decision.
The former Prime Minister Imran Khan had filed a petition to withdraw the appeal as the matter was pending in the Lahore High Court (LHC).
The former PTI chairman had filed a request to withdraw the appeal on January 18 and the court reserved its verdict on September 13 after hearing the arguments of the parties.
