Mafia will never succeed in getting NRO: PM
Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated labour complex and low-cost flats in Shahi Bala Regi Lalma area of Peshawar on Wednesday.
The Regi Lalma labour complex cost around Rs5 billion and comprises 2,056 flats.
Following the ceremony, the prime minister addressed the attendees and accredited the KPK government upon completing the project.
Talking to the inauguration ceremony, the world cup lifter further added that Pakistan would prosper through the supremacy of justice and suppression of the mafia.
“No NRO would be offered to the country’s mafia who are asking for it,” PM said.
“Elimination of poverty is our priority, as per the report of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the poverty has swiftly declined in KPK”, he added.
“Upon the completion of five years, a major revolution in the health sector will be ensured, the PM claimed.
Talking about the Mohammedan dam, the PM said that the project will be completed by 2025 and will irrigate 50,000-acre land. While on the other hand, 300 million gallons of water will be available to Peshawar.
Imran Khan said that in the past expensive power projects were set up instead of dams to get commissions and under such agreements, whether to buy power from expensive projects or not, the government has to pay.
By 2023, the circular debt to reach Rs1455 billion, he told
“Previous governments hastily entered into agreements and got paid from IPPs, We can generate 50,000 MW of electricity from water in Pakistan, 10 major water projects will be completed by 2028,”
