The Colombian singer and songwriter, Shakira noted for her versatility in music and referred as the Queen of Latin Music is celebrating her 44th birthday today.

Shakira was 13-year old when debuted under 'Sony Music Colombia' and didn’t face any difficulty initially to gain fame. By mid-90s, the Waka Waka singer delivered chartbusters and gained recognition in Hispanic countries.
In 2001, with her fifth studio album 'Laundry Service', she entered the English-language market.
The Queen of Latin Music, is one of the leading crossover artists and has sold over 80 million records that has made her the best-selling female Latin artist of all time.
This three-time Grammy Award winner has recorded songs of almost every genre including peppy, fast-paced and much more.
On the occasion of her birthday, let’s take a look at some of the hit songs crooned by the Queen of Latin Music.
“Waka Waka” is a peppy song featuring the South African band freshly ground and released in 2010 by Epic Records as the official song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, which was held in South Africa.
“Whenever, Wherever” is heavily influenced by Andean music and this track had become the Colombian singer’s breakthrough hit in the United States and is considered as one of her signature songs.
“Loca” is a Latin pop and merengue song and more than five million copies of this song were sold worldwide.
"She Wolf” taken from Shakira’s eighth studio album of the same name. It was released in 2009, by Epic Records as the lead single from the album.
