Cypher case: Imran, Shah Mehmood not charged today
The judge of the special court said that he will discuss the matter of open trial in jail regarding media.
Rawalpindi: The indictment against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi in cypher case could not be filed today (Tuesday).
According to the details, Official Secret Act Special Court Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain heard the case in Adiala Jail while Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Special Prosecutor Zulfiqar Abbas Naqvi, PTI founder and Shah Mehmood's lawyers were also present in the court.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi's family also reached the court in connection with the court proceedings.
During the hearing, the court disposed of six different petitions filed by the lawyers.
The judge of the special court said that he will discuss the matter of open trial in jail regarding media.
However, in the cypher case, Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood could not be charged and the court adjourned the hearing till tomorrow morning.
It is pertinent to note that copies of the case were provided at the previous hearing to founder PTI and Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
