Karachi: A huge increase has been seen in the price of sugar per kg in Karachi.
According to the details, sugar has become expensive by Rs12 per kg in the wholesale market in just three days in Karachi. While in the retail market, sugar is being sold at 140 rupees per kg.
According to the wholesale trader, a 100 kg sack of sugar is being sold at Rs13,200. In the eight working days of this month, the wholesale rate of sugar has increased by Rs16 per kg.
The wholesale trader also stated that the sugar mill owners have cut the supply of sugar while the news of sugar export also increased the price.
