Written order issued on admissibility of illegal marriage case
The court has come to the conclusion that there is sufficient ground for initiation of trial, hence Khawar Manika's complaint is allowed for hearing, the order said.
Islamabad: The District and Sessions Courts Islamabad Wednesday issued a written order that the illegal marriage case is admissible.
According to the details, Senior Civil Judge Qudratullah issued a four-page written order according to which Bushra Bibi's ex-husband Khawar Manika filed a complaint in the court.
According to the order, Khawar Manika alleged that founder Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan had established contact with Bushra Bibi in terms of spiritual fellowship. And with the passage of time, illicit relations were established between the two.
Khawar divorced his wife Bushra Bibi in November 2017 due to these relations, the order stated. He also added that former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his ex-wife Bushra got married before Iddat.
The court order said that the statements of witnesses Mufti Saeed, Aun Chaudhry and Muhammad Latif support these allegations. In the light of the statements of the witnesses, founder PTI and Bushra Bibi have committed the crime in prima facie.
The court has come to the conclusion that there is sufficient ground for initiation of trial, hence Khawar Manika's complaint is allowed for hearing, the order said.
It has also been stated in the order that the formal hearing on the complaint of Khawar Manika will start on December 14. The founder of PTI is imprisoned in Adiala Jail, so he will be contacted through electronic means, while Bushra Bibi will appear before court on December 14 in personal capacity.
