Kashmir never was, nor will be part of India: Caretaker PM
Caretaker PM Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar says the resolution of Jammu and Kashmir dispute lies only in plebiscite in accordance with the UN Security Council Resolutions. He said no Indian court or assembly can decide the future of the Kashmiris.
Muzaffarabad: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has said Kashmir has never been and will never be part of India.
Addressing a news conference in Muzaffarabad on Friday, he said the resolution of Jammu and Kashmir dispute lies only in plebiscite in accordance with the UN Security Council Resolutions. He said no Indian court or assembly can decide the future of the Kashmiris.
The Prime Minister said India's illegal and unilateral actions in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir have only further given stimulation to the Kashmiri freedom struggle. He said the Indian stance on Kashmir has not been accepted by the world community.
Paying tributes to the sacrifices of Kashmiri people, the Prime Minister said India cannot suppress the big cause of Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination.
Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar said we consider the residents of Indian illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir as the potential citizens of Pakistan. He said we will not allow the trampling of their rights.
Alluding to his detailed consultative meeting with the Kashmiri leadership in Muzaffarabad, the Prime Minister said it has been decided that another round of talks will be held in Islamabad. He said there will be regular contacts with the Kashmiri leadership in order to present the stance of oppressed Kashmiri people more effectively at the world level. He said Pakistan will advocate for the rights of Kashmiri people at the forefront.
Responding to a question, Anwaar-ul-Haq assured to fully support Azad Kashmir government in completion of ongoing projects and initiation of new ones. For this purpose, he said a cabinet committee has also been constituted.
