Shoaib Shaheen emphasizes the Election Commission's responsibility to conduct elections in a free and fair manner, as stipulated in Article 220.

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Spokesperson Shoaib Shaheen on Wednesday expressed reservations about the role of the Election Commission, suggesting that rather than ensuring transparency in elections, the commission seems to be engaged in efforts to suppress the PTI.
Shaheen emphasized the Election Commission's responsibility to conduct elections in a free and fair manner, as stipulated in Article 220.
He underscored the party's cooperation with requests, including the reevaluation of internal elections.
In particular, Shaheen raised concerns about what he sees as disproportionate actions taken against the PTI, citing instances such as the confiscation of nomination papers from party members.

He attributed these actions to alleged conspiracies involving the Commission, characterizing the situation as a mockery of the nation's history.
