The Dharna Commission has summoned Shehbaz Sharif on January 03 to record his statement.

Islamabad: The Faizabad Dharna Commission summoned former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in the case, reportedly.
According to the media reports, the Dharna Commission has summoned Shehbaz Sharif on January 03 to record his statement.
Earlier in November 2023, the caretaker government had formed an inquiry commission to implement the court verdict in the Faizabad dharna case and identify those responsible.
It has been reported that Shshbaz Sharif has been summoned to the commission as the former Chief Minister of Punjab as he was the Chief Minister on the occasion of Tehreek Labeek's sit-in at Faizabad.
It is pertinent to note that the inquiry commission has to submit its report to the Supreme Court on January 22.
Earlier, the commission had also summoned former minister Ahsan Iqbal and former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
While former Director General (DG) Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt Gen (Rtd) Faiz Hameed did not appear in the commission despite being summoned, on which he has been issued a second notice.
