Death anniversary of Ustad Fateh Ali Khan observed
The classical singer Ustad Fateh passed away at the age of 82 in Islamabad.


Lahore: The 7th death anniversary of well-known classical singer belonging to Patiala family Ustad Fateh Ali Khan is being observed on Thursday.
Ustad was born in 1935 in Hoshiarpur. He had an incredible career as a leading ‘Khayal’ singer. His lasting glory must have made a huge impact in the subcontinent.
Ustad Amanat Ali Khan was elder brother of Ustad Fateh Ali Khan while Ustad Hamid Ali Khan is his younger brother.
He was being recognized and honored by the government for his remarkable role to classical music. They awarded him with Pride of performance award and Tamgha-e-Imtiaz.
Ustad Hamid Ali Khan acknowledged Fateh Ali Khan was his teacher which shows the deep gratitude he had for him. It is beautiful to see how mentors can play such a significant role in shaping someone’s attainments.
Ustad Fateh Ali Khan was truly a legend of his time, among the great names who helped spread the beauty of classical music in the region. His contributions have left a lasting impact on the world of music.
