The latest announcement shows that Pakistan and India will lock horns on June 9 this year.


Lahore: The schedule for the T20 World Cup has been announced, revealing the dates for all of Pakistan's matches, including a historic encounter with traditional rival India on June 9.
According to details of the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup scheduled from June 1 to June 29 next year, West Indies and America will host the ninth edition of the tournament, featuring 55 matches at nine different venues across West Indies and America.
Twenty teams will participate in the event, divided into five groups of four teams each. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super 8 stage. Following this, the top two teams from each of the two groups in the Super 8 stage will secure a spot in the semi-finals.
Pakistan and India have been placed in the same group (Group A) alongside Ireland, America, and Canada. Group B consists of England, Australia, Namibia, Scotland, and Oman. Group C includes New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan, Uganda, and Papua New Guinea, while Group D features South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Netherlands, and Nepal.
Group stage matches of the T20 World Cup will take place from June 1 to June 18, the Super 8 stage will be held from June 19 to June 24, and the semi-finals are scheduled for June 26 and 27. The final will take place in Barbados on June 29.
Pakistan will play its first group match against America on June 6, and the much-anticipated Pakistan vs. India match is scheduled for June 9 in New York. The national team will face Canada on June 11 in New York and Ireland on June 16 in Florida.
