Two more passengers diagnosed with coronavirus
The spokesman of the Sindh Health Department said that the two passengers were sent home with instructions for quarantine.
Karachi: Two more passengers coming from abroad to Karachi have been diagnosed with coronavirus.
According to the spokesperson of Sindh Health Department, a 26-year-old passenger of Balochistan Kech arrived in Karachi from Abu Dhabi on Sunday, while another passenger, a 27-year-old resident of Attock, came to Karachi from Jeddah.
The spokesman of the Sindh Health Department said that the two passengers were sent home with instructions for quarantine. The Covid variant will be identified after the laboratory test report.
It is pertinent to note that before this four passengers from abroad were diagnosed with corona virus.
The cases of new variant of corona virus JN-1 have been reported in United States, United Kingdom and India, and there have been casualties in India due to the new variant. While in US, the number of people affected by the new variant of corona virus has increased in hospitals.
On the other hand, the Covid testing of those coming from abroad has started at many airports including Islamabad. Two percent of the passengers coming from abroad will have to be Covid tested.
