The lawyer of Election Commission took the position that Imran Khan has been disqualified and his proposer is not related to NA-122.


Lahore: The Election Tribunal Wednesday rejected the appeal of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan against rejection of nomination papers from NA-122 while allowing Yasmin Rashid to contest the election.
According to the details, Lahore High Court (LHC) Election Tribunal Judge Justice Tariq Nadeem heard the appeals against the decision of the Returning Officer (RO) to reject Imran Khan's papers from NA-122.
During the hearing, the lawyer of Election Commission took the position that Imran Khan has been disqualified and his proposer is not related to NA-122, while the lawyer of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) also opposed Imran Khan's appeal.
The Election Tribunal judge rejected the appeal filed against the rejection of Imran Khan's papers while upholding the decision of the RO.
