Lahore: The potential bowling lineup for Pakistan in the inaugural T20I of the upcoming five-match series against New Zealand, scheduled for January 12 in Auckland, has been disclosed.
The primary pace trio anticipated to spearhead the attack includes captain Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf, accompanied by Zaman Khan.

During practice sessions, Shaheen, Haris, and Zaman bowled with the new ball in one group, while the other contingent comprised Mohammad Wasim Jr, Aamer Jamal, and Abbas Afridi at a separate practice net.
Usama Mir is likely to be preferred over Mohammad Nawaz as the chosen spinner for the opening match.
The expected batting order will see Rizwan and Saim opening, followed by Babar Azam at one-down. Fakhar Zaman is slated to occupy the fourth position.
Azam Khan will take the fifth spot in the batting order, also serving as the wicketkeeper. Iftikhar Ahmed is anticipated to provide firepower at the sixth position, with the flexibility to switch positions with Azam based on the match situation.
