Yasmin urges public to get vaccinated, strictly follow COVID SOPs
Rawalpindi: Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid Sunday has urged the general public to get vaccinated against deadly coronavirus and strictly follow Covid related Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) to contain the spread of virus.
While addressing to media in Rawalpindi, the minister stated that strictly following the SOPs has resulted in the reduction of corona cases. She said the government is also taking steps with regard to availability of oxygen.
Dr. Yasmin Rashid further stated that smart lockdown is being imposed where is needed adding that government is taking all-out steps to contain spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
“Steps are also being taken continuously in the hospitals regarding coronavirus,” she added.
She further announced that vaccination at Lahore Press Club has also begun to facilitate the journalist community.
“Punjab would purchase additional COVID-19 vaccines from its own resources from next month as they plan to operate vaccination centres,” she stated.
Meanwhile, according to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 3,084 cases of coronavirus were reported while 74 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 20,251.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 900,552.
As many as 817,681 patients have recovered from the disease with 4,392 critical cases.
