As per police reports, unidentified individuals ambushed a police officer in transit, opening fire and causing officers immediate death. The assailants swiftly escaped from the scene.
Police is yet to determine the cause of shooting that either it was an enmity case or the target killing for which the investigations are underway.
Similarly a shooting incident was reported earlier, resulting in injuries of an officer responsible for the security of polio workers in Quetta.
Initial reports indicate that the firing incident occurred near Eastern Bypass School, leading to injuries of an on-duty officer.
On the other hand, the wounded individual was swiftly transported to the closest hospital for urgent medical attention.
