Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa asks the IGP Islamabad that who was that proclaimed offender to whom the police conducted raid to arrest but the police chief failed to give any satisfactory answer.

Islamabad: The Inspector General of Police, Islamabad, on Saturday informed the Supreme Court of Pakistan that the police raided the house of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan for some proclaimed offenders.
“I have information that the raid was carried out for some absconders,” said the IGP while responding to a question asked by Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa about the reason behind the police raid at the residence of the PTI chief in Islamabad.
The Chief Justice expressed surprise over his response and asked him “who was that proclaimed offender?,”. The police chief could not give any satisfactory answer.
The top judge, however, directed the Inspector general of police Islamabad to go with Barrister Gohar Khan and conduct inquiry into the matter.
“IG Sahib, you should go there, get the information and submit in written,” directed the CJP.
The bench asked PTI Chairman Gohar Khan whether he is satisfied with the directions given so far on the matter of raid to which he replied that he is satisfied.
Barrister Gohar Khan then left the courtroom along with the IGP for his home to inform him about the raid and the damage caused there at his home.
Barrister Gohar Khan earlier had informed the court that he came to know that his family came under attack as a raid was carried out at his residence. He told the court that his sons and nephews were tortured and harassed and computer was taken away from his residence.
