The system of life has been paralyzed due to severe cold wave, heavy snowfall and rains in United States, Canada and Great Britain in different areas.

After heavy snowfall and stormy rains, the intensity of cold increased in some states of the US including New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

Over 50 mm of rain was recorded at various places during the severe winter, while blizzards and rains knocked out power to thousands of homes and temperatures dropped below freezing in several states.

On the other hand, severe cold wave continues in Canada breaking a fifty-year cold record in the city of Edmonton in the province of Alberta.

Edmonton recorded temperatures of -53 degrees Celsius with wind chills and severe weather disrupting flights.

Due to the record-breaking severe weather, the authorities issued instructions to the citizens not to leave their homes unnecessarily.

On the other hand, the freezing cold weather is set to engulf the UK this week as well.

According to the British Meteorological Department, the temperature in the Scottish Highlands is expected to drop to -10 degrees, while snow is also predicted in London on Wednesday.

For Tuesday, the Bureau of Meteorology has issued a forecast of snow and very cold winds for the whole of Scotland, parts of England and Wales.

Due to severe cold weather and snowfall, the possibility of difficulties in traffic, rail and air travel has also been expressed in different areas.
