The police say that the explosion appears to be an improvised explosive device.


Quetta: Eight people including three children were injured in a blast in garbage dump in Quetta.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations, the blast took place in a garbage dump under the bridge on Zarghun Road in Quetta.
As soon as the incident was reported, the rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the injured to the hospital for immediate medical assistance.
According to SSP operations, the children who were injured in the blast were picking garbage, while a traffic policeman near the bridge was also injured in the blast making a total of eight people.
The police say that the explosion appears to be an improvised explosive device for which the investigation is underway to ascertain.
