Death toll rises to 43 in US winter storm

Washington: The heavy snow fall has caused 43 casualties in nine states of America.

The life system was paralyzed due to the powerful blizzard in several states of US. Many buildings were affected, while more than 10,000 people are without electricity. According to the report of the British broadcaster, 43 people have died in nine states so far.

In addition to the deaths and damage, flight schedules have also been severely affected, while several schools and offices have been closed due to the extreme cold. The National Weather Service has warned of more snow next week.

Snow falling from the mountains in the capital Washington closed the White Pass Highway, but crews cleared the highway and reopened it for traffic.

Buffalo, New York is covered in white snow. In many places, five feet of snow has fallen in four days, the temperature in Chicago has dropped to -30 degrees Celsius. The vehicles are facing accidents due to slippery roads caused by snowfall in Tennessee.

There is smoke and fog due to freezing winds, and lakeside snow has frozen everything in Michigan.

According to the US media, the accumulation of snow on the road in Texas has made driving difficult.
