The Lahore High Court in its decision said that the cafes should be sealed for the third time of violation.


Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) Friday ordered to impose fines on those cafes that violate the closing time set to prevent smog.
According to the details, a hearing was held in the Lahore High Court on the petitions filed for remedying the smog.
Member Judicial Commission told the court that 95% cafes are present in Johar Town Lahore. The Assistant Commissioner Model Town should be questioned for closing cafes late at night while AC says that he is busy with elections duty.
The court while ordering to impose fines on those who did not close the cafe on time, said that a fine of Rs200,000 should be imposed for the first violation and Rs500,000 for the second violation.
The Lahore High Court in its decision said that the cafes should be sealed for the third time of violation.
It is pertinent to note that the LHC has issued a directive to close the cafes at 10:00pm to prevent smog.
