All Pakistani airlines barred from using Iranian airspace
The flights from Western countries including Europe and Turkey have also been instructed not to use Iranian airspace.
Islamabad: All Pakistani airlines including Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) have been directed not to use Iranian airspace.
After the Iran-Pakistan tension, strict monitoring of all flights coming from the western direction, including Iran, has been started.
According to Civil Aviation Aurhotities (CAA), all domestic airlines, including PIA, coming from Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates (UAE), will enter Pakistan via the Arabian Sea using Muscat's air route, while flights coming and going from Central Asia are also barred from using Iranian airspace.
The flights from Western countries including Europe and Turkey have also been instructed not to use Iranian airspace. Pakistan has also started strict monitoring of flights coming from Western countries including Iran. Every activity in Iranian airspace is also being strictly monitored.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of Pakistan Army, yesterday morning (January 18, 2024), Pakistan carried out effective strikes against the bases inside Iran that were being used by the terrorists responsible for the recent attacks in Pakistan.
The ISPR stated that precision strikes were carried out using killing drones, rockets, mines and stand-off weapons. Maximum care was observed to avoid collateral damage.
The spokesman further said that the hideouts used by terrorist organizations called Balochistan Liberation Army and Balochistan Liberation Front were successfully targeted in an intelligence-based operation, codenamed 'Marg Bar Sarmchar'.
The targeted hideouts were being used by notorious terrorists including Dost alias Chairman, Bajar alias Soght, Sahil alias Shafaq, Asghar alias Basham and Wazir alias Wazi.
According to the statement, the armed forces of Pakistan are always ready to ensure the safety of Pakistani citizens against terrorist acts. ‘Our commitment to respect Pakistan's sovereignty and territorial integrity and to ensure security against any misadventure is unwavering’.
The spokesperson of the Pakistan Army added that they reiterate their commitment to defeat all enemies of Pakistan with the support of the people of Pakistan.
