CAA imposes new fee for domestic flights
It is to be noted that CAA has issued this new policy to improve airport's security measures and to provide more facilities for passengers.
Karachi: Recently, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued orders to impose a new fee for domestic flight’s passengers. Every passenger will be required to pay an additional 100 rupees as part of the updated aviation rules.
The airlines will now be liable for collecting the charges from passengers and sending the funds to the Civil authority.
A spokesperson for the CAA has affirmed the implementation of the new policy and highlighted the significance of these charges in supporting and increasing airport facilities and services.
The income generated from these charges will be assigned towards the maintenance and improvement of domestic airports, ensuring an interruption free and safe travel experience for passengers.
Passengers are determined to be aware of these rules and coordinate with the airlines during the ticketing and boarding procedures.
In response to queries, the CAA spokesperson stated that this initiative is a part of our constant efforts to enhance the overall aviation infrastructure in the country.
