Shikharpur: In a tragic incident, four women were killed while two people sustained the injuries as a passenger van and rikshaw collided in Shikarpur, reportedly.
According to the details, the deadly collision occurred in Madeji area of Shikarpur enveloped in dense fog.
Police and rescue team reached the site soon after getting the information of the incident.
The police stated that the devastating incident witnessed that four women lost their lives and two bear injuries in the tragic accident. The victims and injures were immediately shifted to the nearby hospital.
Three of the four women were identified as Farida, Hajira and Najma. However, police has cordonded off the area to start an investigation.
It is pertinent to note that last week a separate incident unfolded when an over speeding passenger bus tumbled into the river in Bahawalpur killing three individuals and 17 others injured.
Meanwhile, the rescue team transferred the injured individuals to Bahawal Victoria Hospital for immediate medical assistance.
