ECP uncovered the final compilation of minority seats in the National Assembly.


Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has superseded the Returning Officer (RO) in NA-44 Dera Ismail Khan for embezzling the authority and to make improper changes to election symbol for favoritism.
According to the details, ECP replaced him with Syed Gulfam Abbas Shah, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Dera Ismail Khan. The commission instructed the Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to deferred the officer and take this matter to the Establishment Division.
Therefore, the commission composed a three-member inquiry committee, led by the Provincial Election Commissioner of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, to escort a further investigation into the RO’s actions and submit its report within six-days.
In the meantime, the ECP uncovered the final compilation of minority seats in the National Assembly.
The list comprises of candidates from different parties 10 representing the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), five the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), two the Tehreek-e-Labbaik (TLP), seven the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), four the Jamaat-e-Islami, and three the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).
