Islamabad: Federal Minister for Planning, Development Asad Umar Tuesday said that more than two and a half lac people were administered Covid-19 vaccines yesterday.

On his official twitter handle, the federal minister wrote, “Yesterday, for the first time, more than two and a half lakh people were vaccinated in one day”.
“A total of 267,953 people were vaccinated,” he added.
The minister urged all registered people to visit the Vaccine Center for their immunization as soon as possible.
“People who need a second vaccine must be vaccinated in a timely manner,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, Pakistan is presently experiencing the third wave of coronavirus which is said to be deadlier and more contagious than previous two waves.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 2,253 cases of coronavirus were reported while 92 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 20,400.
The total number of confirmed cases reached 905,852.
As many as 823, 57 patients have recovered from the disease with 4,392 critical cases.
