Defamation case against former DG NAB declared admissible
It should be noted that Tayyaba approached the court for making defamatory allegations against the media on behalf of Shehzad Saleem.
Islamabad: The District and Sessions Courts has declared the criminal defamation case admissible against former Director General (DG) of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) named Shehzad Saleem on behalf of Tayyaba Gul.
According to the details, Additional Session Judge Muhammad Sohail accepted Tayyaba Gul's plea and issued notices to the parties. Shehzad was summoned by the court in his personal capacity ahead on February 15.
The court said that according to the report, no solid evidence was found to take criminal action against Shehzad Saleem. Shehzad’s lawyer stated that Shehzad termed the allegations as exaggeration but did not deny.
Therefore, a case is filed against Shehzad under the provisions of defamation.
It should be noted that Tayyaba Gul approached the court for making defamatory allegations against the media on behalf of Shehzad Saleem.
