US President Joe Biden said that their response began today, and will continue in the future at a time and place of their choice.

The United States army carried out airstrikes on 85 places in Iraq and Syria in which one civilian in Iraq and many in Syria were killed, while several got injured.
US officials threatened further attacks on pro-Iranian militias, saying the attacks were in retaliation for the killing of US personnel.
US President Joe Biden said in his statement that their response began today, and will continue in the future at a time and place of their choice.
It is pertinent to note that a few days ago, three American soldiers were killed and many were injured in a drone attack on the US military base in Jordan.
US officials told CNN that three soldiers were killed and more than two dozen were injured in the drone attack.
It was the first US military death in the Middle East since the start of the Israeli aggression in Gaza.
US officials said that the drone attack was carried out on their military base in Jordan near the Syrian border. The drone attack was carried out by Iranian-backed military groups active in Iraq and Syria.
They also blamed Iran for the attack, but Iran denied the US accusations.
Later, speaking to reporters at the White House, US President Joe Biden added that US has decided how and when to respond to the killing of three soldiers in Jordan.
US National Security Spokesman John Kirby also hinted at the response to the attack on US troops, saying that they do not want a war with Iran and the spread of war in the region, but will respond on their own schedule, time and in the way they choose.
