Cabinet extends stay of 1.3 million Afghan refugees
The cabinet division had earlier returned the summary of Safran ministry with objection.
Islamabad: The caretaker federal cabinet has approved the extension of the stay of 1.3 million illegal Afghan refugees. The stay of Afghan refugees has been extended till March 2024.
According to the details, the extension of the proof of residence card was approved on the summary of the Ministry of Safran.
However, on the suggestion of Afghanistan-related coordination cell, it was decided to extend the stay of illegal immigrants.
Pakistan has extended the period of stay of Afghan refugees at the request of the Afghan government, the stay of the refugees had become illegal due to the non-approval of the extension.
