The Election Commission of Pakistan writes letter to the secretary cabinet division, formally requesting records pertaining to the privatization process.

Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan on Sunday intervened to halt the privatization process of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
The ECP's intervention came in the form of a letter addressed to the Secretary Cabinet Division, formally requesting records pertaining to the privatization process. The ECP issued a directive to the Secretary Cabinet Division, instructing an immediate cessation of all privatization proceedings related to PIA.
The letter emphasized that no further action should be taken regarding the privatization of PIA until the ECP issues its final verdict.
