Nushki: A bomb blast occurred outside the premises of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) office situated in Nushki District of Balochistan on Sunday.
The police officials said that the bomb was planted outside the gate of the ECP office.
Fortunately, no casualty was reported as a result of the incident.
In response, the police cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation to apprehend the perpetrator. The investigation of the incident is underway, they added.
Last week, three explosions rocked different areas of Balochistan, including Quetta, Turbat, and Dera Allah Yar city in Jaffarabad district, resulting in injuries to four individuals who have been transported to hospitals for medical treatment.
Amid the approaching general elections for National Assembly and provincial assembly seats, the security situation in Balochistan remains challenging.
In Quetta, an explosion occurred near a police checkpost, while in Turbat, one person sustained injuries in a blast at Ghulam Nabi Chowk, where the police team promptly assessed the nature of the explosion.
The third blast took place at the Bhatti hotel along the national highway in Dera Allah Yar, Jaffarabad district, caused by a cracker explosion.
