Police further said that PPP’s candidate has been shifted to Hyderabad in critical condition.


Karachi: Pakistan Peoples party’s (PPP) candidate Syed Zulfiqar Shah got serious injuries due to firing on his vehicle. He was contesting for Sindh Assembly in the upcoming general election ahead on February 8 from PS-46 Mirpur constituency.
According to the police, the firing incident took place at Ratana baad Bypass where Zulfikar Shah got injured. The sub inspector said that 4 bullets were fired at Zulfikar's car, one bullet hit the glass of the car.
However, Zulfiqar has pieces of glass on his neck. A team has been formed under the leadership of Deputy Sindh Police (DSP).
Taking notice of the incident, the Election Commission has sought a report from the Chief Secretary and Inspector General (IG) Sindh.
Police further said that PPP’s candidate has been shifted to Hyderabad in critical condition.
Peoples Party workers reached the hospital in large numbers while a contingent of police and rangers also reached the hospital.
