Lahore: The Lahore Traffic Police Tuesday issued a traffic plan for the general elections to be held on February 8, 2024 across the country.
All the officers from constable to City Traffic Officer (CTO) will be out in the field to help and guide the citizens.
According to CTO Lahore Amara Athar, duty has been imposed on 320 polling buildings of A category and 1248 of B category. Superintendent of Police (SP) Sohail Fazil, SP Shahzad Khan and SP Malik Ikram will completely supervise the plan execution on the day.
Amara Athar said that 12 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), 500 senior wardens and more than 3,000 wardens will perform duties. 136 lady wardens will also perform joint duties with the district police on polling day.
CTO Lahore further informed that 20 fork lifters and four breakdowns will also be deployed in three shifts, full cooperation will be provided from district police and other law enforcement agencies. Suspicious persons and abandoned items will be especially monitored.
