Anniqa Jamal Iqbal: From Denmark to Pakistan, making waves in pageantry

Karachi: Anniqa Jamal Iqbal's path in the world of international beauty pageants is a story of elegance, determination, and cultural fusion. Raised in Denmark, she not only cherishes her Pakistani heritage but also serves as a remarkable ambassador of her background on a global scale. Through her involvement in prestigious pageants worldwide, she has garnered recognition and praise, showcasing her dedication to empowerment and advocacy.
Born in Denmark, Anniqa currently attends the University of Southern Denmark, pursuing a degree in Economics, which she expects to complete in the summer of 2024. She intends to further her studies by pursuing a Master of Science in Business Economics and Auditing. With two sisters and her entire family residing in Denmark, she maintains a strong connection to her roots, with extended family in Pakistan.

Anniqa's journey in pageantry began with her crowning as Miss Pakistan World 2022 on September 15, 2022, marking a significant milestone as the 18th titleholder. At just 21 years old, she made her international debut at Miss Earth 2022 in the Philippines. Representing Pakistan in a competition focused on environmental awareness and advocacy, Anniqa navigated challenges posed by the pandemic, participating in virtual and in-person events, advocating for the care of animal life under the theme "ME Loves Fauna."
Building upon her impactful debut, Anniqa continued her journey with Miss Eco International 2023 in Egypt on March 3, 2023. Here, she showcased her dedication to environmental conservation and raising awareness about pressing global issues. Her representation as Miss Eco Pakistan emphasized her role as a global citizen committed to preserving the Earth.

An inspiring turn came as Anniqa ventured into the Freedom of the World 2023 pageant in Kosovo, marking Pakistan’s first-ever participation in the competition. Her outstanding performance earned her multiple titles, including Miss Photogenic, Miss Press, and Fourth Runner-Up, highlighting not only her beauty but also her grace, eloquence, and ability to transcend borders. Anniqa Jamal Iqbal became the first Miss Pakistan World to win 3 titles in a single international beauty pageant.
