The Commission also summons the police officer who was allegedly slapped in Sialkot.
Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan on Saturday sought an explanation from Istehkam-e-Pakistan (IPP) leader Firdous Ashiq Awan regarding an incident where she allegedly slapped a police officer present on duty during the elections.
The ECP summoned Firdous Ashiq Awan on Monday.
Additionally, the concerned police officer was also asked to provide an explanation.
It should be noted that Firdous Ashiq Awan slapped a police officer in Sialkot. A case regarding the incident has also been registered.

According to the FIR, the officer was on election duty in NA-70 Sialkot.
Previously, in June 2021, Firdous Ashiq Awan had also slapped Pakistan Peoples Party leader Qadir Mandokhel during a TV program and used inappropriate language.
